To Set Up SMTP email Authentication on G Suite follow these steps. 


1.    Enable 2-Step Verification for Your Main Google email Account:

    •     Go to Google Account Settings.

    •    Under “Signing in to Google,” ensure 2-Step Verification is turned on for main email and sub-email you 

          want to use in Rent It Biz Mail Settings.

   

2.    Generate an App Password on sub-email 

    •    Go to the App Passwords page.

    •    Sign in to your Google account if prompted.

    •    Under “Select the app and device you want to generate the app password for”:

    •    App: Choose “Mail.”

    •    Device: Choose the device you’re setting up (or select “Other” to specify a custom name).

    •    Click Generate.

    •    Google will display a 16-character app password. Copy this password.


3.    Use the App Password in Rent It Biz Mail Settings:     

        Admin>Organization>Mail Settings

    •    Replace your regular Google account password with the generated app password in your SMTP 

          configuration.

    •    Common SMTP settings for G Suite:

    •    SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com

    •    Port: 587 (for TLS) or 465 (for SSL)

    •    Authentication: Your full email address and app password.


4.    Test the Configuration:

    •    Send a test email to ensure the SMTP connection is working correctly.
