To set things up for the first time in Rent It Biz follow these steps.

*Use Chrome for setting Up:  app.rentitbiz.com.


Set Up List for POS

Admin>Organization Menu

    1. Information Tab - Set Up Organization Info 

        a.  Customer – Check Pin Setting  

        b.  Add Logo 


    2.  Email & SMS Tab

        a.  Set Up Email Settings – SMTP Info from email client

        b.  SMS – RIB will set up if ordered.  Texting email and SMS settings


    3.  POS Payment Settings – Choose Payment Options


    4.  General Settings – Rental Options 


    5.  POS Design (Optional)


    6.  Email & SMS Templates (Optional) 

        a.  Custom Receipts/Emails/SMS replace default Receipts

        b.  RIB will assist if needed

    7.  Message Settings Tab  (Optional)

        a.  Schedule Email and SMS communications

        b.  Create Custom Templates – All Subjects must have Text 


Admin>Users Menu

    1.  Create User Credentials

         a. Security Settings – Allowed Site - Permissions Creating a new user


Admin>Current Site Menu

    1.  Information Tab – Site/Location Settings

    2.  Printers – Add Receipt- Contract Printers

    3.  Credit Card Terminals – RIB Support will assist. 

    4.  Terminals – POS Terminals Settings 


    5.  Receipt Settings – Create Receipt


    6.  General Settings - Options


Admin>Products   

    1.  Taxes -  Set Up Taxes


    2.  Product Management 

        a.  Create Product Categories that will show in POS and Online - Product Categories

        b.  Create Price Categories

        c.  Create Rental Pricing Plans


    3.  Product List

        a.  Import from CSV file or

        b.  Manually Enter Products


    4. Asset List (Rental Inventory)

        a.  Import from CSV or

        b.  Manually Enter
